I am getting a ‘Syncing is Not Available’ message when I tried to Sync my Library. How can I fix this?
This message can present itself in a few different ways. If you are experiencing the message below:
This indicates that the computer Neat is running on has lost connection with the Internet. Check your Network settings to make sure you are successfully connected.
If you are experiencing this message below:
This is usually caused by a disruption in the communication between your database and our online servers, which can occur during routine maintenance.
If the software continues to display this error after several hours, it may not be due to routine maintenance. In this case, please try the steps below:
First quit out of Neat then click on your click on the spotlight icon in the top right of the software and type in Terminal.
Click on the search result and open the Terminal application
In the box, type in the string of text below as it appears and hit enter:
defaults delete com.neatreceipts.nrm
Close the Terminal window and type in “Keychain Access.” into Spotlight. Click to open the Application next to Top Hit.
In the top right hand corner of Keychain Access, type Neat into the search bar. You should see some results appear after you type Neat into the filter. Select each entry that starts with com.neat.oauth and go delete them by going to Edit > Delete
Close Keychain Access and Reopen Neat. You will be prompted to reactivate your software. Type in the email address and password associated with your Neat account. Once the software opens you should now be able to successfully sync to Neat Cloud Service.
